Gratitude is good medicine for soul and body. What could be better than a thanksgiving? We have been taught as children to say a thanksgiving prayer when we get up in the morning or when we are about to take a meal. The purpose is to feel gratitude for the beautiful life and good food. As children giving it a thought might seem big effort but as adults thinking about how powerful gratitude could be- may change our lives.
Gratitude has been proven to shatter all myths about life. Gratitude and well being are as strongly linked as medicine and underlying medical ailment. Well being includes every aspect of good life like good health, good relationships, happy state of mind, good wealth. When we are grateful for the things in our lives, its abundance will increase. Well, it’s not a hypothetical concept-it is something as powerful as some miracle. The one’s who live constantly in gratitude can only tell how balanced their lives are.

The above quote very well illustrates the importance of gratitude. A little gratitude is enough for the powerful healing. As we all know our mind is Central Processing Unit (CPU) of the human body, all processes are directly or indirectly controlled by it.

A dose of gratitude can boost your health. Scientific research has shown that gratitude has considerable and lasting effect in person’s life. Gratitude leads to improved immune system functioning, normal blood pressure, improved functioning of organs and better sleep. Not only this, gratitude has highest impact on functioning of brain. It reduces risk of anxiety disorders and depression and can be best medicine for peaceful and happy mind.
How to cultivate habit of gratitude in your lives?
Gratitude should be the attitude towards life. Gratitude is the satisfaction of the experiences of the present situations which are happening to you. Turning into a magnet of attracting good things in your life is a thumbs up. How can you become a good things attracting magnet? Firstly, become a less complaining individual, believe me the flow of good thoughts and good things starts soon the day you learn to appreciate your life. Next, what other steps you can follow to cultivate the habit of gratitude?. These steps are as follows-
- Get up in the morning with a smile- Say hello to god and wave him thanks for everything.
- Count your blessings- Let good things reverberate through your mind all day long,so don’t get lazy in counting your blessings.
- Meditate for 20 minutes in a day-Let your mind run free for 20 minutes,let the power of meditation boosts up your mind.
- Believe in yourself
- Keep a gratitude journal and write your feelings. Don’t forget to say thanks about each feeling and desire.
