“Health is Wealth”; a well-known statement which we have been hearing since our childhood. But, not all of us are aware of its literal meaning. This phrase means that no matter how wealthy we are if we are not healthy, there is nothing we can cherish in life.
In today’s world, people are suffering from obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, high B.P and so many other unknown problems. The credit for this goes to the unhealthy lifestyle which they follow. Running in the race of earning more money and achieving success, people pay no attention to their health. This careless attitude makes them face various health issues.
What’s the point if you have enough money to go to a luxurious five-star hotel for lunch, but can’t eat because of your health problems? Thus, money has no value if you don’t have any time and means to spend it on yourself and your dear ones. Therefore, staying healthy becomes a basic requirement for a long life.
In this article, I’m sharing with you some simple rules which you must follow to stay fit and healthy.
Let’s begin!
Good Eating Habits :
Try to avoid having unhealthy food which has a high amount of calories in it. This is because with time they take a toll on your health leading to weight gain, cholesterol, and heart problems.
Add seasonal fruits which are rich in fibers, proteins, and vitamins in your diet. I’m not asking you to ban those mouthwatering deserts altogether. Making little changes at the beginning can make sure that you never reach a stage where you can’t have it anymore.
Don’t Skip Your Breakfast :
One must not skip a breakfast because doing this decreases the metabolic rate of our body.
This, in turn, leads to weight gain and digestion problems. Having a proper breakfast helps to increase concentration, makes us focus better and controls weight.
Don’t Wash Your Hands Again and Again :
There was a reason behind the invention of hand sanitizers. When your hands are dirty you clean them. But you must stop after that.
You have to! If you keep on feeding your hands just like a mom feeds her baby, it’s not something healthy. Experts say that limited exposure to germs is good as it helps to build immunity. An excessively sterilized environment is not good at all.
Avoid Mindless Eating :
When you’re hungry, you eat. You are bored, you eat. You are angry, you eat. Even when you feel lazy to do your chores, you eat again. This solution of yours to every problem will land you up on a hospital bed.
Therefore, eat when you are hungry, it’s as simple as that. Don’t make your stomach a dump-yard to all your emotional appetites.
Have Lots of Fluids :
Make sure to drink eight-ten glasses of water throughout the day. This will help to flush out the harmful toxins from your body. Plus keep your skin good and healthy.
Exercise in Routine :
Exercising gives multiple health benefits to your body. To live well and long, you must exercise! Studies show that even a mild ten-minute exercise makes difference.
Play some music and dance in your living room. Have a walk in the park with your kids or a neighbor you’d like to catch up with. Or jump a rope or play any sport on regular basis.
Get a Good Sleep :
If you have trouble sleeping at night, try relaxation methods like yoga and meditation. It is seen that eating a small bedtime healthy snacks can help to shift the body and mind into sleep mode.
Like oatmeal, whole grain cereals with milk, cherries or chamomile tea. To get a sound sleep, darken your room and turn the clock away from you.
Don’t Sit Continuously For Long Hours :
Whether it is your office, home or any other place, sitting for long hours in a continuous manner is not good. This is because sitting without any movement slows metabolism and weakens muscles. Just make sure you get up and move around for every couple of hours. Do stretch your muscles from time to time. Early to bed and early to rise is the best policy for staying healthy.
A healthy lifestyle will help you blossom throughout your life. Your health is precious, value it and take proper care of it. Follow the above-shared tips to stay fit and active.
